Tickets must be purchased in advance and Adventures often sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the day you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased with Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Cash is not accepted.
Sorry, but we do not provide a waiting list.
Adventures are designed with adults in mind. We do not allow anyone under 18 to participate.
All of our Adventures are held rain or shine and we will be outdoors for the entire four hours. Please dress appropriately for the day’s weather conditions. In the event of extremely adverse weather, we will cancel the Adventure and issue rain checks.
Please dress casually, comfortably, and appropriately for approximately four miles of walking. Dressing in light layers is recommended, as that is how the locals do it.
Foxhound Urban Adventures does not include gratuities in the cost of our Adventures. A standard gratuity for an Adventure guide in San Francisco is 15 – 20% of the Adventure price. If you had a great time, gratuities are accepted and appreciated by our Adventure Directors.
Our Adventures are managed by experienced directors who will welcome you at the start of each Adventure and help supervise your experience as you go. At the start of the Adventure, each person will be issued a satchel that contains all the gear you will need for the next few hours. The group will be divided into two teams, briefed on their separate missions, and then begin the Adventure. Your team will be challenged to outsmart or eliminate the other team in a race to your objectives. Along the way, you will visit some of the most famous locations in San Francisco, but not just as common tourists taking pictures. Your Adventure Director will check in with you on a regular basis to keep everything running smoothly and make sure everyone is physically ok.
We’re on our feet for approximately four hours. The distance covered in each Adventure depends on how you play, but averages about four miles and can be as fast or as slow as you like. Your team and your opponents determine how fast each Adventure is paced. Please be aware this is San Francisco and we do have some pretty steep hills. If you have problems climbing several flights of stairs, you should consider another activity.
The maximum number of people per Adventure is 12.
We supply water at the start of the Adventure and our Directors make sure everyone is kept fed and hydrated between missions. We suggest you make plans to eat after completing the Adventure.
Unfortunately, wheelchairs are not recommended on our Adventures due to the steep hills our tours cover. We are currently working on a wheelchair friendly Adventure. Stay tuned for details.
Yes, we only offer Adventures in English at this time.
Due to the dynamic nature of our Adventures, pets of any kind are not allowed.
Definitely! Many of our attendees live right here in San Francisco. Because no two Adventures are alike, locals often attend to experience something unique and fun. Because of the nature of our Adventures, we play in public places with lots of people. Most commercial tours try to stay off the beaten path and avoid crowds of tourists. Foxhound Urban Adventures embraces the crowds and has fun doing it!
Because of how each Adventure is played out, every one will be different, even with the exact same group of people. That is why our motto is: Return to Adventure!
Yes, private Adventures are available for groups of 12 people max. To inquire about a private Adventure, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
You will need to buy all 12 tickets to make our adventures private. If you book well in advance, there is a good chance that we can accommodate your needs.
We can organize events for groups as large as 80. We use slightly lower tech equipment than our regular adventures, but the intrigue, drama, action and adrenaline are super-sized with a larger group. This is perfect for corporate off-sites (team building), large birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, etc. Drop us a line at email@example.com for more details.
Unfortunately, the equipment needs to be returned at the end of the Adventure and made available to the next group. The one exception to this rule is that you do get to keep one souvenir of your exploits.
